Secular Double Standards

Secularism stands for religious neutrality, but in India, it's morphed into a rigged game where some faiths become punching bags while others enjoy protective bubbles. All while the gatekeepers pretend they're being fair.
There's dictionary secularism: religion and state kept separate. Clean lines. No favorites.
Then there's Indian secularism: where criticizing one faith makes you enlightened while questioning another makes you intolerant.
The secular crowd follows an unwritten script:
- Denounce Hindu traditions as regressive.
- Frame Muslims as victims.
- Never question certain orthodoxies—Ever.
It's favoritism wearing neutrality's clothes.
True secularism doesn't require you to randomly criticize anyone's faith. It simply demands consistency. When we allow a word like secular to be hijacked, we're allowing reality to be distorted.
There need to be the same rules, the same respect & the same scrutiny for everyone.
But when we create uneven standards, we're not being secular.
We're just picking sides—and calling it justice.
